New Alt gets spam (reply)

Ok, will file complaint that way.

But as for a random search, don't think so.
It happened to two accounts (my alt and my family member's first) within an hour or so after each was created. Same guy, same landmark. I thought so too the first time, but now I'm more inclined to think of a system.
A friend of mine online even suggested an alt with an scanner attachment somewhere (as loose scanners won't work)...

I don't know about that scanner, but I think there might be more going on that just a random coincidence; you might want to have the mentors ask the new people on help island whether it happened to them as well; seems to me it might be a targeted marketing ploy.


PS: I might not have been clear on this, but after the account was created i came online for a minute, then went off again till the next day; so the landmark was sent while i was offline; so the random search with the "online" checkbox is not possible.

It is a possibility, Will--sounds like you've done quite a bit of deductive reasoning. By all means, all the info you have will help our abuse team figure out what's going on here. I've seen the scanner method done too, or via proximity, i.e. landmarks are spammer to anyone who comes by a certain area.

The more eyes on the virtual street, so to speak, the better. Others sending in detailed abuse reports will of course add to our knowledge of what's going on here.
