Is there a projected timeline for implementing the "can send group IM" and "can recieve group IM" (and, preferably, the "can reply to group IM";) permissions for groups?

I know that, as this topic showed, this is a technically difficult challenge. I know LL has a bunch of other stuff they are doing now.

It's just that owners of large groups such as myself are presently in a quite difficult situation. We can't stop people sending messages to the group... so they do, usually as they have not read the group rules. If we eject them from the group for this, then they learn but many of them don't come back, and if we don't we get complaints about spam.
Either way, there doesn't seem to be a way to run a large group in SL right now which doesn't draw complaints from members.... either about the huge amount of spam large groups get, or about the measures we have to take to try and fight it.
If we had the ability to limit group IMs, not only would we not have a spam problem, but it would also hugely reduce group overheads as we could make the group public join too, without fear of spammers returning to spam again (this is the main reason it's invite only).

I know you're busy, and I know this is a difficult problem.
I'd just like to remind you that residents want this and that if you're working on it that an update on progress would be much appreciated.

Sorry Angel. It is not currently in development, and I do not have an ETA for it.
