Hello,

I've emailed support in hopes I would get some answers relating to IP Infringment on the Teen Grid and how to go about filing a notification.

I have gotten a response back from a Linden, telling me to visit http://secondlife.com/corporate/dmca.php. This is a handy document and I'm aware of it but it doesn't really cover how to file notifications when the store/person/avatar selling my material is on the Teen Grid. I've recently called Linden Labs, but was put on hold, and then was prompted to leave a message.

Your DMCA Notification states:

“Identify in sufficient detail the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed upon.“

I’m not sure at this point, how to do so, because the copyrighted work that is being infringed upon and the person selling it currently resides on the Teen Grid. I’m not sure how I can provide sufficient detail, considering, as an adult I cannot go to the Teen Grid. The best evidence I currently have are screenshots from the TG emailed to me and the TG residents name.

“Identify the in-world item that you claim is infringing on your copyright, and provide information reasonably sufficient to locate the item in-world. For example "The allegedly infringing work I am referring to is located on the map area labeled 'Freelon, 104,30,56'."”

Again, I’m not sure how to go about doing this due to the Teen Grid rules.

Can someone out there point me in the right direction to get answers to my questions? I've emailed support@secondlife.com. I've emailed copyrightagent@lindenlab.com. I've called Linden Labs directly.

I fully intend to file a DMCA claim but I cannot do so without answers to the questions I've asked thus far.

Thank you.

Hey Nyte, we haven't forgotten.

Ginsu Linden will be getting in touch with you personally if he hasn't already to acquire more specific details.

That being said, it's recommended to: please
provide as much info on the suspected infringement as you can, as well as the source of your info (e.g., who told you it was in Freelon?), at which point we will make a good faith attempt to locate it.

Thank you.
