Why wouldn't it work, several other residents have posted comments to the official blog?
I mean that I was trying to send a comment reply to a couple recent LL blog posts.

Sorry that you had trouble with the blog this weekend. There were two separate issues that people had with the blog this issue.
Many Residents reported having problems registering to comment on our blog. It ended up causing more difficulties than benefits, so required registrations for commenting are again turned off. Hopefully in the future we will be able to implement a blog which automatically recognizes Second Life accounts. Read more about the change here. Others reported issues with loading pages and updates, explained here, which should have been corrected yesterday. _____________________
