Hi -

When a group founder or officer removes a member from a group, the entire group gets a spam that the member has been ejected.

(Additional conversation on this topic is here)

This message goes to all users whether they are online or offline. In groups with hundreds of members, this causes an immense amount of confusion and questions. Just the ejection of one member can cause days of IM damage control with folks asking what happened, or leaving the group upset over the spam message received.

Why must this message go out to all group members?

As a founder or group officer, at the very least, why can't the sending of this message out to everyone in my group be MY choice?

This behavior makes it extremely painful to clean out old group members who haven't logged in in over 6 months, because for each avatar removed - everyone will get a spam message.

I understand groups are in development at the moment - I beg of you to address this situation for the future.

Thanks! :)

Travis--DOUBLE TRUE!

I think this is already in the ideas list we have for future groups controls. If it's not, I'll add it... like... right about now.

Thanx for your suggestion. :)
