I help manage a SIM and mostly do the script control stuff, weeding out scripts that are not necessary or are not more important that the performance hit they are causing.
We had 10 or so people out on the SIM and the view/statistics was showing 9,000ish scripts and in the estate tools/top scripts it was showing 6,000ish so we turned off outside scripts and nothing happened. It's not disabling the gobs of scripts people are wearing and causing excess performance drains.
I have some scripted chairs, nothing big, just a sit target so you face the right way and a lady was sitting on them and in top scripts the chair was showing at 3.8+ that's not 0.03, that's a full 3.8. which means less than 10 people similarly outfited could be on the SIM before all the scripts SIM will start dragging.
It's not fair that a visitor can drain the resources of any SIM private or mainland like that without the owner of the land having some sort of way to stop it without just booting everyone from the area.
Please make turning off outside scripts work on attachments, but not to the point they're broken forever or don't turn back on as soon as they are in a script area.
