For a couple of weeks now working in scripts is an exercise in painfull lag.
Sometimes opening a notecard will freeze me for 10 minutes.

It's Extreamly Annoying to have this text lag in scripts/notecards.

My question is this; Is this the new standard? Has CPU time for scripts/notecards been trimmed for something else? Will this improve? Like soon?

Do i have to continue to use outside applications for such simple things as writing a notecard?

(bonus questions) Does anything in this game ever speed up after a patch or can we look forward to more compression and 20 sims on a server?

Les--

That sounds highly unusual; first time I've heard of this. We did have a bug, "Editing long notecards and scripts is interrupted by freezes" which was fixed.

Please send me (torley@lindenlab.com) the # of your step-by-step bug repro so I can make it happen myself. Please also check to see if any other settings are affecting it, and include those too. Especially if it happens after a clean uninstall and reinstall.

I'd like to run-'n'-gun, nail this on the wall so it can be fixed... anyone else having this prob, please let me know too!

As for your bonus Q, specific details would be good too.
