With the advent of island visibility, I suddenly discover that our island has another island attached on the northeast diagonal corner. Since my friend the estate owner never mentioned owning more than one, and has been on hiatus the past month, I wonder if its possible that LL parks vacent sims in such locations. This stealth island appears untouched, with the simplistic name of 'ROCK'. So does this occur, or did the estate owner agree to let someone else adjoin, and failed to share the information?

Hi Winter! As the Land Store FAQ says:

Are corner-to-corner regions adjacent and part of the reservation or grid placement?

Corner to corner are not considered adjacent. Only regions which share a shoreline are considered adjacent.

So while it doesn't sound desirable for you, it is allowed if the space wasn't reserved.
