I recently have been the victim of the unauthorized reproduction and distribution of a structure. Using screen shots, the individual was able to steal a texture I had put hundreds of hours into, to create a knock-off version. While confronting the individual resulted in the items being removed, it exists still in their inventory, they have admitted no wrong doing, and they go on unpunished. I think it's time LL made duplicating user-made content by using screen shots or GLIntercept against the ToS.
In response to the reply that that would result in too much work for LL, a third party could run a registry for a fee that would allow one to document the creation of a unique piece of work. If the registry provided concrete proof of duplication, then and only then would LL investigate and take action. Given that all user-run honor-system-based artisan protection schemes have failed (mostly due to the absence of LL enforcement) isn't it time that LL made internal piracy against the ToS?
