When will you stop allowing unverified accounts?

No less than FOUR grid-wide replication attacks in one single day. Hours of downtime and frustration. Estate owners who lost the entire contents of their estate in the process of trying to kick the replicating objects from their land, even after scripts were turned off and the objects just kept coming anyway.

Is it not painfully clear that these griefing incidents would be *much* fewer and far between if you did not make it so easy to roll up a new account in less than 5 minutes? Again and again and again? Is it not painfully clear by now that there are experienced SLers who are making a career of griefing the entire grid by rolling up disposable alts to launch grid-wide replicating attacks?

I don't care what excuses the non-verified people are giving as to why they don't feel they should be penalized because of these griefers. It's not rocket science. If you have a computer capable of actually running SL, it means you have a decent graphics card (not cheap) and a broadband connection. That means you are an ADULT who can pay bills and order services, which means you at the very least have a Debit card tied to your checking account. Which can be used like a credit card.

So anyone who should be on the adult grid per the TOS has the ability to register a credit card number. Period. No excuses otherwise. Which would give LL the ability to recognize a resident trying to create more than the allowed number of alts per the TOS, as well as give real-world accountability and the ability to find related acounts and ban/cancel them all.

C'mon. Isn't it time to throw in the towel on your BAD decision to let unverified alts into the Adult grid anyway? It's not even a matter of reducing the incidence of griefing. What about all that mature content that KIDS can easily get into with your current lax account signup?
