Group Name Issue

Ok, to make a long story short, when i was a noob i created a group and forgot to invite my friends. The group was closed due to lack of membership. I asked back then if there was any way to release the group name so i could remake it. I was told no. I seriously hoped that the work on new group features would have resulted in the name being released, but alas it did not.

So my question is. is there ANY way to get a closed group name released? If it requires bribing a Linden I am not above that. Thanx for any help you can provide. ^_^
