We HAVE to have the ability to ignore moderators now! Gimme!

Given that any idiot can get their own group forum here which have NOTHING to do with the main forums or in a lot of cases Second Life, it annoys me no end that we cannot ignore said idiots simply because they are a moderator of their own forums.

I think it's up to you to implement some other way of ensuring we are not forced to read the ravings of morons we intensely dislike. I've had said moron on ignore quite happily for some time, and now suddenly it's impossible just because they have 5 alts and 15 fickle friends?

In my opinion this is little more than a method of griefing: any forum troll can easily ensure that they can't be ignored. And if you're going to let it continue unchecked then I'm going to take the same advantage of it and ensure no one can ignore me either!

Understood! I'm sorry to hear you're having such a bad time on the SL Forums. It is a gaping hole. Unfortunately Kris, the vBulletin software isn't quite so flexible. Looks like the "default" settings are "all moderators" or "none" to ignore--but we are currently investigating this further to see what can be done. Thanx for the heads-up.

Update: tragically, vBulletin doesn't have a builtin way to do this, it'd require modifying the code. In other words, an unsupported hack. Looks like we likely can't go that route in the present, but if anyone familiar with vBulletin knows of hacks to do this, at least it'd be a possibility. Please PM me about it... the info is welcome!
