Hey LL,

I posted this in the thread located below, but am still waiting on a reponse so I thought I would try here:

"Just wondering where the stipend sink of L$200k comes from on the economic stats page? Also what is the "source" of linden from land sales? Especially at only L$2?"

It looks like we suddenly started accumulating stipend sink on July 19th. The month-to-date total has been growing for the past few days.

When folks register, if the registration fails for some reason (say an invalid credit card), there is a transaction that "takes back" the L$250 that we started giving them.

Something may have changed, such that this transaction is now showing up in the daily stats.

This is just a guess though. Our data warehouse guy is going to look into it-- someone will post an update here, once we figure it out.

Update-- we have confirmed that the non-zero stipend sink is being caused by failed registrations, as described above.

The stipend sink non-zero, because the give-stipend, take-back-stipend transactions (which happen in the case of failed registrations) are getting picked up in the report.

Prior to the 19th, these transactions did not get reported on.

We are looking into what changed, and will try to have it fixed ASAP.
