I am curious if the Lindens have any intent of crediting paid users for all the recent downtime of the grid. While I do fully understand that these attacks were unplanned, that does not change the fact that I PAY money each month to play SL, and that recently, I go offline several times a night and when i CAN play, objects are very slow to rez and I frequently have to go on and offline to reset things.
When I'm spending my hard-earned money, I want to spend it on a product that is reliable. Other sites I use frequently credit their users with so many days or months of free play when situations like this arise.
What do the Lindens think about this? I mean really, if this were a very rare occasion, I wouldn't think much of it, but this is becoming alarmingly frequent and if citizens are not placated about it, I imagine you'll lose a lot of subscribers. It's not worth it.

if they credited paid users for everytime the grid went down they wud end up out of pocket seeing as everyone wud then be basically ona free account the amount of time it does happen

Hi, I've merged these together. Yes, we do have a policy for downtime compensation. Please see 3.8 in the Terms of Service right here: http://secondlife.com/corporate/tos.php
