Is resolution in a window always 800x600?

I've noticed that when "run in a window" is chosen, the only resolution that will "stick" is 800x600. If a higher resolution is chosen, the UI appears to accept the higher resolution, but upon closing and reopening the graphics preferences, the resolution has been reset to 800x600.

Can we run higher resolution windowed mode? Can the UI be fixed so it doesn't allow invalid choices and then "bounce" back?

Maybe I should be more specific on the "invalid window resolution allowed" issue.

While "run in a window" is checked, the resolution choices are grayed out, as they should be. However, the resolution listed should automatically switch to 800x600. It doesn't.

While "run in a window" is unchecked, the resolution choices are enabled, as they should be. However, if any resolution besides 800x600 is selected, "run in a window" should be automatically deselected and grayed out. It isn't.

Thanks!

I'm familiar with this--if memory serves me correctly, I noticed it a year ago. It simply doesn't show the current, accurate resolution in a window. It might be better off having a blank value ----. Because as you know, running SL in windowed mode, you can resize it dynamically, any time you like.

Please do send a bug report about this, paulie! I'll also note it down thanks to your description.
