Sorry for this post Lindens, it's not a question and can be deleted later. I'm just trying to help eliminate the understandable concern about the full object permissions, which I as a shop owner first had too.

My main avatar was logged on after the grid was up again yesterday. Just logged her on and had to wait during login, for account maintenance and repairing of my inventory. I checked on my other avatar too who wasn't logged in for 2 days, and had no maintenance / repair procedure there.

So I guess we can assume that these inventory repairs are checking the permissions of recently acquired objects. That would explain why the procedure only affects avatars who were online after yesterday's grid attack and could have bought something. I'd say it's a safe bet that purchased objects are checked against the original object to synchronize the permissions.

A check on the inventory of my main avatar with some control samples showed that everything seems to be there and all object permissions seem to be in order. I even purchased an object yesterday, from a vendor of my business partner within our shop, and it shows only trade/resell permissions as it should (didn't check how it looked yesterday though, I was just testing if the vendors were up again at that time).

I hope that helps to ease the worries a little and stops the support from being bombed with questions.

Yes, the inventory repair was part of our efforts to reduce the amount of instances of broken permission content. But, as mentioned in the blog, given the nature of the bug it is very difficult for us to know if we caught all instances.

If you feel that someone took advantage of the permissions bug that was introduced into the code Sunday evening (and locked down Sunday night) and is selling copies of something you made without your permission, please file an abuse report. We’ll follow up with the buyer and sort out the IP rights. Also, please read Robin's Blog about this topic.
