I still don't understand what blocking logins as opposed to closing the grid accomplishes?

Logins are currently blocked but there are 6,500 peeps on the SL Grid.

So what's the point in keeping others out?

If limiting access does accomplish something that helps in stopping the atttack and cleaning up the grid, why not close the grid to all so that job can be done even "faster"

I appreciate your frustration, typically when there is a "gray goo" type attack, there is also a high database load, therefore when there is a problem with the grid that is taxing database resources, we attempt to restrict the load by restricting logins.
