Hello,

Just trying to understand what happened here. I crashed & when trying to log in, the Login screen tells me that The System is Logging you out right now. Your account will not be available till, 2006-04-12 22:39:00 Pacific Time.

That time comes & goes & I get the same message except extended time of 22:39:00 Pacific Time.

That time comes & goes & I get the same message 22:44:24 Pacific Time.

Of course that time comes & goes with the same message but a new extended time.

Chillin', waiting & wondering how long this process takes.

Since there hasn't been a response yet which is cool, I figured I'd throw in more information from another SL resident who was at the same place & time as this has happened. In this Thread Imp Ludovico gives a great description as to what was going on during the time when 22 ppl crashed & were not able to log back into their accounts for some time.

Quoting just the description here:

From: Imp Ludovico on 4-12-06 11:44 PM
The sim we were on suddenly went to zero on both time dilation and sim fps, but it didn't completely crash, and some people's chat text was getting through. I waited a few minutes, then logged out. When I tried to log back in, I got this:

"Login failed. The system is logging you out right now. Your Account will not be abailable until 2006-04-12 22:39:22 Pacific Time." Yikes.

When I tried to log in again at 22:40, it gave me the same failure message but the time was changed to 22:44:24. Great.

Sooo, I logged in with my alt, just fine, and TP'd over to the sim where I had been. I got over there but the sim was still screwed up, time dilation and fps still at zero. Couldn't move except by sitting on something. But some people were still there... INCLUDING IMP LUDOVICO! i.e. me, the main me. I even clicked on Imp and sent an IM, which did indeed come through to me when I got logged back in as Imp finally.

In closing, here is the bug report number rt.lindenlab.com #250773 which was filed as soon as I was able to log back last night.

Hope that helps a little bit more & even more "hopeful" to hear an answer as to what went wrong.

Thanks

Brock, I'm sorry you, Imp, and other Residents got shut out like that--it's happened to me too. And yes, when it occurred in my experience, I was told that I was still inworld... motionless.

We do know of some current problems with login status. Basically, your "presence" isn't being detected correctly, so it keeps giving you that message. Confusing, I know.

If you still can't get in by now, please send me a PM or email me (torley@lindenlab.com) and I'll ask the gridmonkey's help to get ya unwedged.

Take care.
