This is a request for the good folx at LL to address the serious increase in Lag since the last update, before any other features are added. It has become nearly impossible to do anything is a busy sim, even with my graphics cut back to 800x600 from my usual 1280x960.
I am not the only person who has noted this effect.

Ah, Daaneth, there was a very sucktastic lag problem with 1.8.4.6 involving animated textures on certain prims that was quickly resolved with the latest, 1.8.4.7.
However if things are still slow... As I've learned, "lag" is an amorphous cloud that can mean many things. For us to fix it, just like in the example I mentioned, there has to be an identified source(s) of the problem. Just like if someone says "my car is broken". This reference post by Lee Linden explains more. You can use HELP menu ---> LIVE HELP inworld, post more about it in Technical Issues, and contact support. Lay out what you already know and what you've already attempted to make it better. Best of hope!  _____________________
