We're getting different responses from Lindens on what could be done anout DisQ Hern's "Pyramid Scheme" objects. One cleaned them up right away, another said we had to get the landowner (who hasn't been on in a month) to clean them up.

They're clearly an illegal pyramid scheme under the TCPA, and previous messages here have said that they violate the ToS. Similar "make money fast" schemes on Usenet are "cancelled on sight". Shouldn't they be automatically removable by any Linden, as a matter of policy, if not preemptively removed from the database?

I haven't had a chance to examine these personally — I'm going to ask further about them; thanks for already sending an Abuse Report, Argent.

[UPDATE] DisQ Hearn wanted to mention the following:

From: someone

Dear Argent Stonecutter and other SL residents having problems with my pyramid,

First of all I would like to say sorry for the trouble they cause. I made them in my early days of SL and wasn't aware of them beeing against the rules at that time.
As soon as I found out I stopped selling them and contacted the Lindens in 5 different ways. It took them 3 weeks to respond and that response told me:Your Abuse Report has been investigated and resolved.
(I filed an abuse report on myself).

I pretty much considered the matter done. But people keep selling my pyramid. I do get complaints ones in a while but surprisingly few compared to the amount of pyramids in-world now.
Everytime I get a complaint I explain the situation and everyone that comes to me about the pyramid gets the same story from me: 'It's against the rules but if you intend too use it anyway then PLEASE don't litter!'.

What people do with the pyramid is out of my control, but that doesn't mean I don't feel somewhat responsible for the trouble they cause. So, I ones again say sorry to the people getting them littered on their land, contact me if you have any trouble with the owners of those pyramids, I'll contact them myself if needed.

I hope we can put this matter behind us soon, but we will need some Linden help to do that.

DisQ Hern
