Yet again there is another update next wed.

Here is my thread that didn't get a response the first time:


I would like this answered by someone in the LL offices please, No offense to Torley I promise.

This is in no way a slam on updates in general as I know that updates need to be done and I know a few months back it was decided that updates are to be done on wednesday for some reason. This upcoming week will be 3 wednesdays in a row that I am unable to use SL because of constant weekly updating. My request is that if there are going to be weekly updates that they are staggered a day. It isn't fair that these updates are effecting a certain group of people while others are not inconvenienced at all. Why sometimes can we have rolling grid updates and other times SL is down for at least 5 hours?

Examples:

Person A is a Premium Member who also pays tier and has wednesday off work and uses the morning time to be on SL. These people are Guaranteed to be without the service they pay for, every time an update is released. Which so far has been the last 3 weeks (including this next update).

Person B is also a Premium Member who pays tier and has The weekends off work or any other day and never has to worry about not being able to utilize SL due to an update.

I know I have written about this before and it's pretty obvious what group I fall in under the examples, but I really think it needs to be taken into consideration. I'm also using the Premium acct as an example and is not a slam against basic accts btw. What is wrong with one week just having it on a tuesday or thursday or even a monday? Please listen to your customers, it's not fair that a certain group of people are basically screwed each time there is an update while others are not. It needs to be fair to everyone. A one day change every now and then to make it fair when there are so many updates shouldn't be a big difference at LL. I'm not asking anyone to come in at 3am in their jammies and Elmo slippers to update, I'm not asking LL to abide by my situation only, just please take into consideration that updates on the same day every week are effecting some people badly. No one can say this is fair. It may seem like a good idea to have updates on one day and I agree that they are as long as it's not every week.

Please consider your customers as we are the ones who keep SL alive...
