Is there any predictability of what times it will be day and what times it will be night in a region? i.e. if night falls at 6:00 pm, will id do that every day at the same time?
How does one predict/know when it will be day or night, like for event scheduling?
PS. I am aware you can Force. But for a major event dont want to ahve to have everyone do it.

Yup, it can be predicted. And what you say sounds accurate. A Second Life day is 4 hours: 3 hours of daylight, 1 hour of nighttime, with the sky gradient shifting between these. That divides evenly, 6 times, into a "real" 24-hour day. Some very pretty bands on the horizon can be seen if you watch the skies. More technical details can be found here: http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=llGetSunDirectionIncidentally, this topic is also a featured "Did you know..." on the SL History Wiki today!
