My skin is a contour map

I don't know what happened but today my skin texture resembles a contour map with different colors. I tried running SL in a window and when I switched back to full screen this started. I reinstalled SL and deleted all of my temp files but that didn't help. I confess that my ancient laptop has a Geforce 2 card but my skin looked ok before today. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hey Tommy--classic example of one of my most hated bugs, the "bad texture bake" one. Usual prescribed workaround "solution" is this:

1. Right-click yourself and go into Appearance. See if the glitched skin disappears. (Wait, we're not done yet!)
   
2. Adjust a slider on your skin, for example, change height by 1, and then Save All, and Close.
   

See if that does it. It should overwrite what was wrong. If not, or if your skin is not modifiable, then get in touch with the creator who made it and show 'em what happened. They may be all too happy to help you out with this. In the meantime, if you have other skins, you can also wear them to see if they look alright.
