Hey Jack,

Regarding THIS post, I can't see how hard it would be really. Set up a group called "SL Building Contractors" or something like that, make a couple of Linden builders officers. Applications would be vast I'm sure, but then we're only talking about roads to start with. Free registration could be in order and when the user has built a road, members of the public could report faults as they already do. If there is a small issue, maybe a prim doesn't quite line up, its not a big deal to fix, if there's a gross failure to stick within guidelines then that user is banned from the group, or in some severe cases maybe even removed from SL? It would all be highlighted in a charter.

Maybe only accept 25 applications at a time? If someone seems inactive for a month or two, remove them and allow the next person in the queue to join. That way we keep an active team of builders.

Incentives? Well, I think you'd find land owners who have a plot on the roadside would be happy enough to see their land value increase as a result of the road, I know I would, and I'd love to help in other sims as well. You don't have to offer money to get results. Try it as a volunteer program, you might be surprised at how many people join up.

We need to get this kind of infrastructure in place. We tried to have pathways etc running through Wainscot to break up the mass of individual builds all crammed together, and it worked well to start with, but we need the roads, they do draw people through the sims rather than just TPing everywhere. Lose the trains though, they're a bit too clunky, although a nice effort.

Cheers
