In a response to the "Putting you on the spot" question, Ian Linden writes:
"However, customer data doesn't appear to be this hacker's actual target..."
Does this mean that LL knows the "hacker's actual target," or at least LL feels they know? If so, has that information been made available (I haven't seen it anywhere)?
Certainly, knowing what the hacker(s) were after would be beneficial to SL users - give us an idea of what to watch out for.

We'll be releasing more follow-up information on this once we've finished our investigation. We currently have a pretty solid idea of what was attempted and what was taken, but don't want to make any further proclaimations until we've thoroughly looked into all the corners. I don't believe there's anything in particular to "watch out for" at this point. In general, though, let us know (and change your password) if something suspicious happens to your account (a change in your L$ balance, you get logged off by someone logging in as you, etc), or if someone approaches you trying to sell a large number of L$.
