update downloads wrong version?

i couldent figure out where to post this, figured this would be the "least" wrong place.

second life tells me i need to download the newer version, so i download it through the program. it warns me that the version it downloaded was the same one i already had. installed it anyways, doesent work.

now i figure i have to go and redownload it ut i'm not sure, i want to know if anyone else has had this probelms and how they fixed it

*edit* all right, its being covered in another thread in the general topics section, also noticed why i'm getting no replies. replies are set to off for some reason. i'll have to check if thats normal in this section or if i just hadent been notified in any way as to why replies were disabled.
