10 Meter Prims/ Corner Middle Side Cuts

Yesterday while working on a house I was wondering about how much more you could do if you could extend the prims to 20 even 30 meters. I don't understand why this cant be done, it would allow much less prims and even bigger buildings. I would like to know why the prim length height width, is only limited to 10. Also, I had a recent idea occur to me about hollowing, what if prims could be hollowed on not one, but maybe two or three sides? Possibly even corner cuts would be decent for builders like me if there is a corner that you want stairs at. Just a question, and a suggestion.

There's some proposed improvements for prims in the works, Morfius, but I don't see them happening really soon--as nice as the idea is. The flipside of what you suggest, of course, besides technical troubles--ever lay a board in the air across the border of two regions and tried to walk back and forth?--is that big prims could be used to block off people and grief; sadly that is type of complaint associated with many useful tools. (This part always leads to "being able to return objects that are a wee bit on your land".)

So this remains to be figured out, but thanks for your suggestion.
