I have contacted billing on this through email 3 times with no reply (correction, the first reply was an automated response). I would call the voice number but I can't make personal calls from work.

I needed to change the group my land was deeded to, so I asked live help what I should do.

The response was to sell the land to myself and redeed it to the new group. So I did that. I got a warning that my tier would jump but I assumed it would net out.

Asking Live help again I was told I should have set my contribution to 0 in the first group before selling the land to myself.

It just doesn't seem right that my tier level should jump since I sold the land to myself.

I am about to be billed this tier jump.. I have tried to be patient waiting on replies from the emails but it's been 3 weeks without help on this issue.

Hi Manic, while SL Answers isn't good for account-specific stuff like this, I'll explain: when you buy land from a group, it's not the same as "buying land from yourself". Even if you're a part of that group. Group ownership is different--in part because it involves other people and is technically shared property, even if you're the sole contributor of land.

We know this may be confusing and we're working on ways to make it clearer in the future, but in the meantime, that's why there's a warning, to communicate what will happen. Sorry I can't be of more help from here.
