I'm curious about how recent legislation affects the casino gaming business in SL. According to the legislation passed, operators can no longer take online bets from US citizens. This can also be extended to apply to the 'observer' model in which Linden dollars are being placed as bets, and not real money. If the act of gaming ultimately results in a bet, a randomly generated result, and a payout that can be converted to real money - it is illegal. So, whereas the individual players are not commiting an offence, the operators of virtual casinos in SL are, and can eventually be subpoenad. Has the US government caught on to SL? Or is gambling in SL somehow exploiting an existing loophole in the legislation? The answer will kinda direct my future entrepeneurial activities in SL. Silver

Ginsu recently answered a very similar question here in the Linden Answers. Please take a look!
