Just out of curiosity, are there any plans to make it possible to stream other movie formats besides quicktime streams ?. I for one would like to be able to stream my favourite shoutcast tv stations to my land. I cant stand quicktime as its poor quality and laggy most of the time.
And NSV (which I beleive is the shoutcast tv streaming format) is much more configurable.

Sorry squiz, no way to do that at present--I know there are Feature Voting Tool proposals asking for it; you may want to vote there.
Realistically at present, adding this isn't a priority (and there are licensing costs involved with certain standards) but I should emphasize depending on the codec, QuickTime can be very high quality, e.g. the H.264 streams used on Apple Trailers: http://www.apple.com/trailers/ I sure would like to play more formats, tho. _____________________
