With things being changed forum wise could I suggest a new section :). May well have to be a link to a non-forum section as will require some coding but I think it would be most usefull.

Essentially a new format SL-Answers.

A 'Newbie Help' section where thread starters must be < 1 month old and replies can only be from Secondlife Resident Volunteers ( Live Help/Mentor etc. ) or Lindens.

Then a more open SL Answers again where Res. Volunteers can reply.

This would give newbies a place to go for extra help and also take some weight off the Lindens by getting the Resident Volunteer's to help you out. I think all resident volunteers will appreciate being able to respond in forums like this.

On a side note why this recent addiction to blogs, especially apparantly with announcements? Makes things awkward and clumsy.

Blogs seem strange to some, I know. Even I find the term weird. But it just means "a web log", an Internets diary or journal ;), and by no means obscure.

Blogs are a popular way for companies and individuals to communicate.

One reason is to get Linden posts to stand out. Another is searchability on Linden statements. I receive a great amount of correspondence on these, and other issues. And yet another is how easy it is to keep track of live--heck, you don't even have to think of it as a blog, think of it as an EMAIL NEWSLETTER:

So you don't even have to visit the page! How easy is that?

Great suggestions too. Today, I've formally realized I can't keep up with SL Answers, and action will have to be taken soon to broaden up the channel--I don't have a way to set permissions by join date, but... like we've talked about before, leveraging Resident expertise, 'cuz we have so many helpful, smart, nice people, is key.
