I was reading the "Whats New" section on the downloads page and came across this.. ....1.9 brings several other changes and many bug fixes, which enhance the overall Second Life experience. One change brings the ability to search for and view objects attached to your avatar and display which attachment point an object is set to (in the inventory next to the object, instead of just saying “worn” it was say “worn on right hand”). You can also adjust your attachment settings to prevent accidental replacement of an object. Another change allows small parcels of abandoned land (below 512m2) to revert directly to Governor Linden for auctioning instead of going public. Does anyone know the details of how to adjust the attacment settings to prevent accidental replacement of an object , and searching for all attached objects on Your avie ?

To my knowledge, following a fresh install of Second Life, Derry, it works simply as follows: If you already have an attachment attached to a point--like Chin, for example--and you right-click on another object laying on the ground and go to More > Attach > Head > Chin, it'll ask you: There is already an object attached to this point on your body. Do you want to replace it with the selected object?
There are some situations where it'll replace automatically without asking, e.g. if you attach something from inventory. As for your second question, to find all your current attachments--it's easy! In inventory, on the light gray bar on the top where it says Search, just type in this: (WORN
EXACTLY like that. It'll show you what you've got on! Alternatively, look under Edit menu > Attach Object for the list. Hope this helps.
