What sort of demographics info is available to RL businesses considering establishing a presence in SL? How does one obtain it?
Also what sort of info is available on current SL sales by item type? Again, how is it obtainable?

Hello Candie, I'm happy you asked because we recently introduced an Economic Statistics page:
https://secondlife.com/currency/economy.php Further statistics and demographics are planned, some by Resident request--they will be announced as they're added. I don't know that we keep L$ sales by item type, because we don't have systematic classifications for different objects, e.g., "So-and-so many boats bought this month". But you may want to ask the Residents who run Second Life shopping sites like SL Boutique and SL Exchange--they have a lot of experience with categorization. Take care. _____________________
