Is a parcel setting for "No Push" indeed on its way?

Hi!

My apologies to be a pest about this.

Our load at the Shelter has grown exponentially since 6/6. This is a combination of both awesome new residents, and griefers.

Here's my concern: We are beginning to spend more time warning and banning folks than we are helping. Its beginning to feel like a police state, and that's not the kind of atmosphere I want to project.

The majority of warnings/bannings we have to hand out are due to push devices: explosives, guns, swords, light sabers, etc. Many of these were just folks simply wearing a gun or a sword - not actually using it. Everyone is so on edge now, however - the mere sight of a weapon provokes a strong response.

Give us the ability to set NO PUSH on our parcel, and now we don't have to worry about these items. New folks can bring them in all they like, no one gets upset, and we can spend more time doing what we do best.

I've heard that NO PUSH is coming, but I'm beginning to get concerned that its just a rumor. For the sake of our sanity, could you please confirm whether this is something that's indeed being worked on, and if so - approxomately when we might see it?

Thanks! :)

We do need an answer on No Push...

Like Travis said, it's tough to not feel like a pest on this, banging the same drum -- but it's simply not something we can let slip off the radar...

The last time our entire sim was orbited was last Friday. This is not an issue that is going away.

In spite of the fact that Philip said we'd be getting the No Push option on Wednesday -- now it seems that it's got an ambiguous timeframe. Ban list extensions are also apparently in a "maybe/maybe not" status.

I just have to stress that these things are *not optional* for what's going on, on the mainland.

We've had to have everything set no-create for the last 5 days now just to keep people from launching in pushbombs from outside the ban line.

Can we just get a word as to whether or not we are *really* going to see these any time soon?

----

We were given an enhanced ban height (great!) that we cannot really use, and is ineffective against launched-in push weapons.

We're losing regulars.

Newbies are getting driven away after a day of bad experiences.

I've had longtime friends tell me that Luskwood is starting to become a place where they don't want to be, because time there is griefer cleanup punctuated by waiting for the next griefer.

Everyone's always looking behind their back, waiting for the next round of C4 or Hand Of God to go off.

We're having to spend all of our time policing. The entire place is losing any sense of coherence and community because we don't have the resources to keep up with the influx.

There's not much I can tell people besides "I hope that it's changing for the better, soon."

I know we aren't the only people dealing with this. Travis's post below shows how widespread this issue is.

Let's lay it on the line.

Residents requesting this feature aren't pests--I'd say if anyone was a pest, it'd be the griefers.

This--restricting push on a per-parcel basis--is not a rumor.
It will be true.

Development-wise, it's in progress. It hasn't been completed internally yet, due to other projects the developers involved have been working on to strengthen parcel control measures, such as the related raising of ban heights, visibility of "NO ENTRY" lines, automatically muting parcel-banned Residents so they can't be heard from within, "Allow by Payment Status", more goodness like true audio mute, and so on and soforth.

A parcel setting for "No Push" will be done as soon as possible.

As per our Linden tradition, expect me to let you guys know about it firsthand once I know it's been done and going to be available to the community soon.

I promise.
