Does cancelling an account free up that avatar slot on your account?

See subject. I have too many avatars, half of which I don't use and signed up for over a year ago on a whim (and paid $9.95 for, bleh). I'd like to cancel them to free up the avatar slots so I can create new alts.

Hi Aaron, cancelling an account doesn't free up a "slot" automatically, but Support can remove them so you can replace them with new alts. Reference: "Rules limiting account creation".

In practice, however, with open registration, you can create free (but not Premium) alts at a whim. In any case, still best to have a max of 5/household because that is still our current policy, and someone owning more is subject to being asked to choose some of them to be removed. Take care.
