Is there a trick to finding First Land?

I just posted this over at Resident Answers, but a responder there suggested that I post it here as well...

After six months now of porting into the grid, I finally decided to become a Premium member; but that was two weeks ago, and after daily playing I still haven't seen any First Land for sale. I was wondering maybe if I was doing something wrong? Or is it that there's simply never much First Land available, and I need to be lucky to grab some? Or maybe a third option -- one of the responders at the other post suggested that perhaps LL simply has its hands full right now with bugs and the latest upgrade, and hasn't had time to create any new land. I'm brand-new to the world of owning land in SL, so don't know very much about it; if someone could clue me in on the First Land process, it'd be much appreciated.
