Last Name Choices

I know that Second Life Last Names is being worked on but I'm thinking it will be quite sometime before that is put into effect. I agree with Ryozu about the lack of good choices for last names in the sign up process.

Is it possible for the time being to randomize the choices for last names ever so many days or maybe every week without having to wait for the names to max out and be replaced with others? If not, how about expanding the list of choices at sign-up with even more choices?

There isn't a mechanism I know of to automatically randomize last names, and last names are manually retired too. So it's not an automatic maximum amount. Also, there are over 100 current choices.

I do think a greater variety of international names, including the Japanese ones in that thread, would be welcome, and there've been several themes along those lines before. Part of it is timing and opportunity too: it's interesting Ceera mentions patronymics, because my former last name was Torgeson.

Looking forward to more customizable SL Last Names tho!
