Hello Lindens.
A reader of our forums (sl-forums) had a concern about the new feature in tomorrow's update. I will paste it here and give you a chance to repsond. Thanks.

* Residents can be added to your Friends list, even while they are offline

This is not a good thing, or at least it should be an option to auto reject such requests (would be great for 'normal' friend adding too). Not a good thing because it would mean when logging on you could be spammed by awaiting frienship requests.
Then this would also mean someone can "Friend" you if you are not in local?

This is a good question and now that it has been raised I am sure there are others that wonder that too. :)

Hey Macphisto, great question and linked to from your forums too, cool. So here's what James Linden blogged about earlier:

Could this lead to friendship offer spam? Yes, it could, but the problem is no worse than instant messages. Just like instant messages, if you mute the sender the offers go away.

And yes, that also means someone can send a Friend request if your avatar is physically far away. Hope this helps.
