Test grid and changes made more visible

so, I was just in the test grid for a few minutes just now and saw a Linden notice about reporting bugs...

I'm still fairly new, not much of a creator, but I do shop and use my inventory windows a lot. there "appears" to be some changes to how inventory works (which is good) but I ran into a problem....

When we are in the test grid, how the heck do we know what's changed?

Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe it's really obvious to everyone else...

But for me, having a special drop-down that lists the changes and bug fixes for the test version I'm playing in would seem to be real useful...

That way, I can see quickly, in world, what is new, refer to it if I want to go bug-hunting and reference it if I find a problem. For new features, I could actually try them in an organized manner and see if they work for me they way they are described...

Hello Jenni!

First, "Supersized Amazon" = teh awesome.

Second, and answering your question, sometimes we can't make things obvious enough. You bring up a good point--now, here's the thing.

When you first download and install a Preview, it'll show a box with the "Release Notes". This display what changes from one Preview test version to another. That's how you know what changed.

And oh, if you missed that, there's this:

https://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Preview+Release+Notes

which is linked to from the main Preview page. Hope this helps. :)
