do Liasons ever set scripts in objects non-running?

explaination of question:
some time back the sim where a club I am an officer at experienced extremely high lag. checking sim stats noted that script perf was up over 500,000 IPS and time dilation was fluxuating down under .20. Live help was contacted and a Liason came out, and reset the sim, no mention was made of what the problem was. things were fine for a while. then suddenly the same problem started up again, Live Help was again contacted and a Liason came out, this time said a sitting rug was to blame, and reset the sim as well as returning the rug to its owner.
the next day I realized that 2 objects in the club were broken. all scripts in them no longer operate at all a large couch, which had had a numebr of people sitting on it when the sim was reset and the above mentioned sitting rug which had been replaced after a discussion regarding the wisdom of doing so, but since there were other identical rugs in place which had no problems, we asumed it was a migratory problem and ressed it again. The rug, which I now own, is no modify, so I can NOT turn it back on or fix the scripts if indeed anythign is wrong with them, copying hte scripts out of the rug and dropping them in other prims shows they work, normally with no higher script activity then one would expect.

Further testing indicates that scripted attachments worn on avatars sitting on an object show as being script activity from the object being sat on, so at this point I believe a person sitting on the rug had an attachment with an unussually high script activity and a liason mistakenly deactiviated the rug and couch thinking they were to blame.

so, repeating question, do Liasons ever turn off scripts in scripted items when they show as being broken or looping causing unussually high server load?

The answer is yes, after careful examination and on the whole it's comparatively rare: Liaisons can do this in order to improve performance. Our Liaisons will also do their best inform the owner of the object when such an instance happens.

I've not personally heard of this rug being turned off, but if you remember the Liaison in question, please ask them. Sorry for any inconvenience.
