I want some answers on the constant lag of the grid. Everywhere I go, I lag horribly and one night I noticed my bandwith was sky high. I can't play second life more then 5 to 10 minutes before having to relog just to suffer the same amount of crap.
Are you lindens going to do something to fix this or are you going to worry on customer support which doesn't help us anyway? Or perhaps you'll add something more that SL doesn't really need. Please I'm begging you to get rid of this lag, it shouldn't be that hard.
Try listening to our please for some help on grid issues other then ignoring us completely. I want an answer to this thread, I'm tired of getting ignored and or having my blog posts deleted. I'm so upset with how things are going, I'm actually thinking about leaving second life until things improve.
Things were fine before you guys started updating constantly, and I feel so bad for those who have to pay a crap load of money for new private island just to suffer like I'm doing right now. I'm not happy, I'm not. DO NOT BASH ME! I just want answers not to be criticized.

We are indeed working on some performance issues, but no they are not easy.
'Lag' is a very innacurate term that has been used to cover a very wide range of effects including, but not limited to: low client FPS, low simulator FPS, network latency, packet loss, long image load times, slow region cross, delayed inventory returns, slowed agent movement.
Being as specific as possible about the issue(s) experienced helps get them resolved quicker.
There are some knowledge base issues that might help you more immediately than our in progress performance work: There is a guide to Preferences: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=087
If you are on a Mac (or even if your not), a guide toimproving performance on a mac: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=088
If you have a Dual Core system and are getting bad performance this may help: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=303
Also, other residents may be able to offer optimization tips and tricks in the resident answers forum.
