I recently placed some trees next to the border of my land to hide a fairly ugly building in my neighbors land. His building looms large and is built right up to the edge of my land. These are stock Linden trees. I had had them there before his building, had moved them and then moved them back. He said that the branches intersected his building so i moved them again not knowing the policy in Second Life, he claimed he could make an abuse report.

If his building was a reasonable distance from the edge of the land this would not be an issue. I had had them there before. If they had been in place when he built the building does he have the right to demand they be moved? I ask this question because I am considering buying some new land and the owner next door has large connifers that overlap the land I would like to buy.

Is there a chance we could get a clear and concise policy statement about this? I will not buy land that has this problem and I would like to know if I can place trees on my land where I like and let him fix his building.

If you tell me that I need to work it out with him, I will put the trees back.

Ideally you'll work it out with him. Since you've each built on your own property there are no violations of rules.
