Reading as carefully as can be to has been said, The “Unencrypted Creditcard information” was on seperate computers. What was on the database was encrypted version of the Credit Card that was hashed and salted.
I want to know what is being done to catch the hacker and secure the data? Are the FBI involved? This is a Federal crime and Visa says they have no information on any issues with LindenLabs.
I want my personal data secured, not left out there to be passed around the Internet as the latest useless password file. My Name, my address, my creditcard number, it's 3 digit code, the experation date, my birth date, my email and my mothers maiden name. What more would an identy thief want?
What steps are being taken to protect my an the other 650k users personal private data? I understand that LindenLabs would like this situation to be cured by a password reset but in these times of identy theft one has to be ever vigilant.
Have the FBI been alerted?
Has anything been done to RECOVER the data?
How will LindenLabs ensure that this can never happen again?
