Outgrowing Teen SL

My 17-year-old nephew may get a basic Teen Second Life account. I want to know:

1) Will he use the SL client I currently have on our computer, or will he have to install something else?

2) When he turns 18, will he be kicked off? Will he be able to change his account to an adult SL account? Can he take his objects, land, etc. with him?

Great questions, Edgar.

(1) The SL client is the same, so no need to install something else.

(2) Upon turning 18, he should contact a Linden and inform them, and upon confirmation, yes, his account will be transferred to the adult (Main Grid) easily. On top of that, I know we've had celebrations in the region called Baffin for Teen--->Adult transfers! :) Objects can be taken (including contents of your Inventory), but not land.
