As I said, he doesnt have a credit card. And identification thru SMS seems only to be available to US and Canadian citizens (I checked several European countries. They arent listed (yet).

I think that this limitation should be stated more clearly at the Gift Certificate page. What if I had offered him a gift certificate (and paid for it) that he couldnt use? I've looked at it again now you told me, but there is no mention of any futher verification, and the limitations...

Understood what you mean, Riffey--it'd be good to have that communicated more clearly. I'll forward your suggestion onwards. =)
