I haven't brought this up for awhile figuring the Lindens might just be swamped but this proposal:

Has had > 600 votes for nearly a month now. and has not gotten any feedback.

And as Torley notes in the sticky to this forum:

"If a feature proposal gets 500+ votes, it's guaranteed a Linden comment."

Are they just backlogged?

Yes I believe it's a backlog issue. :(

I'll alert Jean Linden to this thread as well, since she's heading up our feature voting tool redesign efforts.
