Why did it take so long to fix?

Now, first of all, this is not intended as criticism, you fixed it and I'm really happy about that :-D

However, I'm just feeling curious about why did it take so long to repair the damage that griefer did. Is there anything that prevents you from removing all the objects owned by an user from the world at once? Did the attack create problems somewhere else? I'm curious about what happened with the grid due to that jerk, and what did you have to do to fix it.

Also, if possible, I'd like to hear the technical explanation, so that if this ever happens again we can have some good explanation to point to when people start screaming about lost business.

Hey Dale, I know it's not a criticism, and I'm sure you'd like to help. :) We can't give a lot of technical information though, because we need to protect our ability to respond without giving away any trade secrets!
