Was wonder if we could get an update from the previous Linden note

From: someone
We are investigating the addition of filleted and chamfered cubes. Creating these structures is much more difficult that making a simple cube, and therefore requires research on the impact of these new primitives on polygon count. We are experimenting with this, but cannot commit to adding it until we gather more data.

As that was a long time ago.

Thanks

Filleted cube sounds like some kinda exotic delicacy--now I am curious too.

Will ask Linden primologists to find out more.

The 'rounded edges on cubes' feature has been absorbed by a more ambitious overhaul of the primitive set. However that project is not currently in development and I don't see it on the short schedule (1-2 months out). Most of the developers who would be involved in that project are currently working on 'flexible objects' and improvements to rendering and lighting.
