I have a problem with the fundamental architecture of second life as I don't believe that a centralized or even a partially distributed network will be able to handle the future demands of the Metaverse. But that's for LL to learn on it's own.

For now I would like to know what legal action if any LL is taking against people who attack the grid. There are people in SL who have vested financial interests and will lose money every time the grid goes down. I understand that these attacks are not LL's fault and I would hope that other companies also realize that this sort of thing comes with exploring new territory and feel that the risk is acceptable. I feel that for risk to these companies and partners to be minimized, DoS attackers should be prosecuted to discourage future attacks.

Hi Paradigm, as before, our legal counsel has been working with the FBI and reported information pertaining to these criminal activities. There are some past Linden Answers about this too. We take it very seriously, and will continue to do so. For example, on Google (not all articles are relevant but it's a good first look):
