This evening, I logged in several times. Once was just to take a look around my property after the latest upgrade (downgrade, in some circles). Once was to set up for the event I was hosting at 9:00 pm LST. Once right before the event to greet everyone. Once during the greetings and finally, once after the sim of Terminous crashed, during my event.
During these times of being logged in, I and my guests experienced horrid lag. I relogged during the greetings to clear my cache and yet that did not help. I asked Amber Linden if there were reports of lag anywhere else. She said no and suggested that I not only reboot my computer (which I had already done today, for both MS updates and Adobe updates) and to reboot my cable modem.
To be honest, her suggestion was a bit ludicrous. SL just had a major upgrade/downgrade and I was being told it was my computers fault. Again, we are being blamed for problems caused by what LL is doing or has done.
Could some, high up perhaps, look into this and take to heed our repeated calls to fix what needs to be fixed first, instead of diverting our attention with shiny new objects? Can you work to reduce the lag? Can you work at getting us better inworld help than Laisons who don't have a clue?
I am tired of having to play nice with Lindens when I paying over US$200 a month, just in tier and membership fees to play this game, only to be brushed off that everything is somehow my problem.
